David Rowland, Wealth Advisor

David Rowland is a Wealth Advisor at Cape Rock Private Wealth, joining the firm on April 1, 2026. A Sikeston, Missouri native, he brings a lifelong appreciation for hard work, competition, and small‑business grit—values shaped early through athletics and hands‑on experience in his family’s business.
Growing up in Sikeston, he was a three‑sport athlete at Sikeston High School, competing in football, wrestling in the heavyweight division, and throwing shot put and discus in the spring. Sports dominated much of his life, but they also instilled discipline, resilience, and a deep respect for results earned through effort. During summers, he worked for his father, a small‑business owner, where he gained his first exposure to business operations and the day‑to‑day decisions that keep a company running.

After high school, he moved to Springfield, Missouri, earning his bachelor’s degree in Business Finance. During the academic year, he focused on academics and training; in the summers, he served as a foreman for a startup moving company in Columbia. Leading crews through long, hot days taught him how to motivate teams, deliver exceptional customer service, and balance demanding physical work with professionalism. He credits this role as one of the most formative experiences of his early career.

Following graduation, he entered the financial industry as a bank teller before transitioning to Southern Bank’s Wealth Management department in Poplar Bluff. There, he obtained his Series 7 and Series 66 licenses and began building his reputation as a trusted financial advisor. Working closely with business owners sparked a passion for helping entrepreneurs protect, grow, and transition their wealth. Hearing their stories—how they started, what they sacrificed, and what they continue to build—solidified his commitment to serving this community.

After two years at Southern Bank, he joined Cape Rock Private Wealth, where he now focuses on delivering meaningful value to business owners and their families. With a background rooted in small‑business experience, years in finance, and mentorship from industry leaders like Justin Martini, he approaches advising with a blend of practical understanding and strategic insight.

He remains active in the Poplar Bluff community as a member of the Poplar Bluff Kiwanis Club and the Knights of Columbus. His passion for small businesses, combined with his dedication to service, drives his mission to help clients make confident, informed financial decisions.

Business owners know and appreciate the importance of good service. Serving my clients – helping them with their financial goals – is my highest priority.
